The Japanese Ambassador pays a courtesy call on the Vice President

H.E. Takeuchi Midori, the Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Maldives, on Monday, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Vice President Faisal Naseem. The meeting was held at the President’s Office.

At the meeting, the Vice President and the Ambassador spoke about the longstanding bonds of friendship between the two nations. He went on to state that the Maldives has an excellent working relationship with Japan and recalled that Japan has been a reliable developmental partner for the Maldives.

The Ambassador said that economic diversification, the environment, climate change and disaster management are critical focus areas in working with the Maldives. In conclusion, the Vice President extended his gratitude to the Japanese government for its continuous assistance to the Maldives.
