President Muizzu Bestows Highest National Honour on Late Hussain Salahuddin and Awards Seven Individuals for Their Contributions

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has posthumously bestowed the highest honor for service to Maldivian nationhood on the late Hussain Salahuddin in recognition of his significant contributions to the country's religion, language, heritage, and culture. The honor was awarded during an official ceremony held on Wednesday to mark this year's National Day.
Hussain Salahuddin was celebrated for his dedication to advancing the nation's core tenets and for his relentless efforts in spreading knowledge as a form of national service. As part of the honor, a shield of recognition was awarded posthumously to the late Salahuddin.
In addition to the posthumous award, President Muizzu conferred the National Award of Honour on seven individuals for their remarkable contributions in various fields. The awards were determined by the National Awards Committee, formed by the President for the occasion.
The National Award of Honour recipients included:
1. The Late Mohamed Thaufeeq: for his lasting and noteworthy contributions to the nation.
2. Dr. Abdul Azeez Yoosuf: for his outstanding contributions to the health sector.
3. Mohamed Majid: for his significant role in developing the small to medium enterprises sector.
4. Moosa Latheef: for his achievements and impact in the media and news sector.
5. Mohamed Nasir: for his contributions to the sports sector.
6. Ahmed Mohamed: for his contributions to the sports sector.
7. Hassan Manik: for his contributions to the performing arts.
Each recipient was presented with commemorative shields and badges of honor, signifying their dedication and excellence in their respective fields.
