Prominent lawyer Ahmed Zaneen Adam dies of COVID-19.

Zaneen was undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at Hulhumale Medical Facility since last week.

Zaneen is a member of the Group of Lawyers of the Opposition Coalition. Al- Azhar University graduate defended several prominent cases at Maldives Supreme Court. He was among the group of lawyers who defended the High Court Verdict to annual the 2013 Presidential Election at the Supreme Court.

Supreme Court, as well as Maldives Bar Council and the Opposition PPM/PNC Coalition, conveyed their Condolences in separate statements.

Ahmed Zaneen Adam was known to be one of the best lawyers in the Maldives. He was 59 years old.
