The Maldives Police are working to identify a body found in the sea near the Hulhumale Fire Station. Authorities confirmed that the individual was already deceased when recovered, and the body has been transported to Hulhumale Hospital for further examination.

Details about the deceased, including whether the individual is a local or a foreigner, remain unclear as investigations are ongoing.

This incident follows a similar case last week when a body was discovered near IGM Hospital in Malé. Police have not yet indicated if the two cases are connected.
