President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed his Administration’s commitment to supporting Community Concept Schools, pledging to encourage and strengthen schools operating under this model. The President made these remarks during the 40th-anniversary celebration of Maafannu Madharusaa, held on Saturday evening.

In his address, President Muizzu urged the nation to unite in fostering a generation rooted in Islamic values, national identity, and a strong sense of responsibility. He expressed optimism for the country's future, citing the innovative proposals presented by students at the ceremony as evidence of a promising generation.

Highlighting his Administration’s dedication to education, President Muizzu assured attendees that the government would assist Maafannu Madharusaa in achieving its development goals. As the school operates under the Malé City Council, the President pledged to collaborate with the Council to meet its requirements.

Responding to a request made by students for a ground-floor hall to improve accessibility for the elderly, President Muizzu announced that the facility would be completed by 2025. He also promised a special focus in the coming year on training teachers in special needs education to ensure inclusive opportunities for all students.

The President also honored long-serving staff members of Maafannu Madharusaa by presenting service plaques during the event.

Founded on February 15, 1984, Maafannu Madharusaa initially served students from nursery to grade 10. However, it now focuses solely on providing education to nursery and preschool-aged children.

President Muizzu’s remarks and pledges underline his Administration’s broader commitment to strengthening educational institutions and fostering a supportive environment for future generations.
