Police Raid on Hiyaa Flat Leads to Arrest of Four with Drugs and Cash

Malé, Maldives — Maldives Police Service arrested four individuals during a raid on a Hiyaa Flat apartment in Hulhumalé Phase 2, uncovering drugs, cash, and drug-packaging accessories. The operation, conducted on December 23, was based on intelligence received by police.

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

- Ibrahim Shareef, 40 years old

- Abdulla Hassan, 41 years old

- Hussein Riyaz, 33 years old

- Abdulla Jameel, 32 years old

Police searched the apartment, H9-20-11, under a court-issued warrant. During the search, officers confiscated an undisclosed quantity of drugs, a significant amount of cash, drug-packaging tools, and multiple mobile phones.

Authorities have confirmed that an investigation into the case is underway, with efforts focused on determining the extent of the suspects’ involvement in drug-related activities.

The Maldives Police Service reiterated its commitment to combating drug-related crimes and urged the public to cooperate by reporting any suspicious activities.
