President Muizzu Officially Welcomed in Estonia, Focuses on Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Tallinn, Estonia – President of Estonia, His Excellency Dr. Alar Karis, officially welcomed President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu of the Maldives and his delegation at a ceremony held at Kadriorg Palace this afternoon. The visit marks a significant step in fostering closer ties between the two nations.

The ceremony commenced with the Estonian military performing the national anthems of both countries, followed by an inspection of the Guard of Honour by President Muizzu and President Karis.

As part of the formalities, President Muizzu was introduced to Estonian dignitaries, and Maldivian dignitaries accompanying him were similarly introduced to President Karis. The leaders then posed for a commemorative photograph, and President Muizzu signed the Visitor’s Book at the Palace, marking the occasion.

President Muizzu’s official visit to Estonia focuses on enhancing bilateral cooperation and exploring new opportunities in digital technology, cybersecurity, e-governance, climate change, and education. These discussions aim to build on Estonia's globally recognized expertise in digital innovation and governance.

This visit highlights the commitment of both nations to advancing shared goals and strengthening their partnership in areas critical to development and global challenges.
