Malé, Maldives – The outgoing Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Maldives, His Excellency Matrek bin Abdullah Al-Ajalin Al-Dosari, paid a farewell courtesy call on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Tuesday morning at the President’s Office.

During the meeting, President Muizzu expressed his sincere appreciation for the Ambassador’s contributions in strengthening the longstanding ties between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia during his tenure. He noted the steady enhancement of bilateral cooperation and the importance of the exchanges that had taken place over the years.

President Muizzu also wished the Ambassador well in his future endeavours and expressed optimism about the continued growth of relations between the two nations. He reaffirmed his commitment to further cooperation with the Saudi government, particularly in areas of shared interest.

The President also recalled the warm hospitality extended to him during his Umrah trip in May 2023, highlighting it as a symbol of the close bond between the two countries.

The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepening Maldives–Saudi Arabia relations in the future.
