Bollywood superstar and lifestyle icon Katrina Kaif has been unveiled as the new Global Brand Ambassador for the Maldives, as part of Visit Maldives’ latest global campaign to attract more tourists to the island nation.

The announcement was made by the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) on June 10, coinciding with the launch of their Summer Sale Campaign. The campaign offers exclusive travel deals across resorts, guesthouses, and family-friendly stays in key markets like the UK, India, Europe, and Russia.

Katrina Kaif, known for her global influence as an actress and entrepreneur, said she was honoured to represent the “Sunny Side of Life” and described the Maldives as the pinnacle of natural beauty and luxury.

MMPRC CEO Ibrahim Shiuree said Katrina’s global reach and vibrant personality make her the perfect face for the Maldives, which has been named the World’s Leading Destination for five consecutive years.

The partnership is expected to boost the country’s visibility among international travellers and reinforce its image as a top-tier travel destination ahead of the 2025 summer season.
