The newly developed section of Bodhuthakurufaanu Magu (Malé Ring Road) was opened to the public on Friday, with vehicles beginning to use the road shortly after it became accessible.

The opening marks another milestone in the capital's ongoing road redevelopment, aimed at improving traffic flow and easing congestion along one of Malé's busiest transport corridors.

The upgraded stretch features wider lanes, improved road infrastructure and a redesigned layout intended to provide a safer and more efficient travel experience for motorists.

The redevelopment forms part of broader efforts to modernize Bodhuthakurufaanu Magu and strengthen connectivity within the Greater Malé Region. It also complements the ongoing transformation of Malé's waterfront through a series of major infrastructure projects.

With the latest section now open, road users are expected to benefit from smoother traffic movement and improved connectivity, while redevelopment work on the remaining sections of Bodhuthakurufaanu Magu continues.
