A voice that travelled from Pakistan to the Maldives — and is now reaching thousands around the world.

Meet Mohamed Saad Saeed, the young Qari from Pakistan whose beautiful Qur’anic recitation has won the hearts of many Maldivians.

Saad first came to the Maldives in 2024 to lead Tharaaveeh prayers in Milandhoo. He returned to the same island the following year, and in 2026, he was invited to Henbandhoo.

His recitation quickly captured the attention of the island community. The Henbandhoo Island Council then invited him to stay and teach Qur’an to local students.

Today, Henbandhoo is his home — where he teaches Qur’an and shares his knowledge with the next generation.

But his teaching does not stop at the shores of the island.

Through online classes and social media, Qari Saad teaches thousands of students from around the world.

In an exclusive interview with Sukun, he said his goal is simple: to spread the message of Allah and help people learn to recite the Qur’an beautifully.

And his message to everyone is simple too — never give up on the Qur’an. Read it every day.

From a young Qari who came to the Maldives to lead prayers, Saad has found a new purpose here — teaching, inspiring, and connecting people through the words of the Qur’an.
