Maldives Police Arrest Six in Major Drug Bust on Velidhoo Island

In a significant drug operation conducted on Velidhoo Island, Maldives Police Service has arrested six individuals and confiscated over 1.5 kilograms of drugs along with more than 50,000 Ruffiyaa in cash. The operation, which took place in the northern region of the country, involved extensive searches of several houses on the island.

The individuals arrested have been identified as:

Abdulla Nishad, 26, Coconetvilla, N. Velidhoo

Ahmed Naushad, 28, Coconetvilla, N. Velidhoo

Ahmed Aseem, 26, Happy Side, N. Velidhoo

Ali Rasheed, 30, Hikifinifenmaage, N. Velidhoo

Mohamed Maaidh, 28, Nedhunge, N. Velidhoo
