President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has declared 2025 as a pivotal year for the Maldives, emphasizing nationwide development, economic revival, and shared prosperity. In his New Year’s address to the nation, he outlined the Government's commitment to advancing the Maldives’ development agenda and achieving its ambitious goals.

The President highlighted that the Maldives is now progressing with a clear roadmap, striving towards becoming a developed nation. He encouraged citizens to set resolutions at national, community, and individual levels, underscoring the Government’s own resolution to work tirelessly for the people.

“Our goal is to fulfill promises, uphold trust, and remain close to the people, addressing challenges with sincerity and determination,” he stated.

President Muizzu also called for fostering peace, reconciliation, and positive thinking as essential elements for development and happiness. Stressing that the foundation of national progress lies in unity, he urged every Maldivian to contribute to making 2025 a year of growth and transformation.
