President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu Embarks on an Eight-Island Tour of Huvadhoo Atoll

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has commenced an official tour of eight islands in Huvadhoo Atoll, as part of his nationwide initiative to engage directly with local councils and communities. The tour began on Hoandedhdhoo Island, where residents offered a warm welcome, lining up under the scorching sun to greet the President. He reciprocated their enthusiasm by spending hours shaking hands and interacting with the community.

The President’s next stop was Neddhelaa Island, followed by Vaadhoo Island later in the afternoon. During these visits, he met with Island Councils, Women’s Development Committees (WDCs), and residents to discuss development projects and address community concerns.

The President’s ongoing nationwide tour focuses on assessing progress in developmental initiatives and fostering collaboration with local councils. It aims to identify and prioritize projects that align with the aspirations of island communities.

President Muizzu emphasized his administration’s commitment to inclusive development and its vision for strengthening the economy and improving the quality of life for all Maldivians. The tour also serves as a platform for candid dialogue with island residents, allowing the administration to tailor its efforts to meet the unique needs of each community.

The President is accompanied by senior government officials during the tour, ensuring a collaborative approach in addressing the developmental priorities of Huvadhoo Atoll.
