Bank of Maldives (BML) has expanded its services in Addu City with the installation of a US Dollar ATM at its Hithadhoo Branch, providing 24/7 access to USD deposits, withdrawals, and other self-service banking functions.
In addition to the new USD ATM, the branch also houses two existing ATMs—one dedicated to Self-Service Banking and another for cash withdrawals. The expansion aims to enhance banking convenience for both residents and businesses in the region.
BML CEO & Managing Director Mohamed Shareef highlighted the significance of the new service, stating, "The inauguration of the USD ATM demonstrates our dedication to meeting the growing demand for USD deposits and withdrawals in Addu City. With the recent change of our Gan Branch to a dedicated Islamic Banking branch, alongside our expanded ATM network and digital services, we are strategically strengthening our presence in Addu City."
BML currently operates 39 branches across all 20 atolls, 95 Self-Service Banking Centres, and 151 ATMs, along with a comprehensive Agent Banking network. The introduction of dollar ATMs in the atolls aligns with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s pledge to improve banking accessibility nationwide.
