Malé, Maldives – Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has announced new competitive fares and enhanced travel options between the Maldives and South India, strengthening regional connectivity and passenger convenience.
Under the new fares, return tickets for Maldivian citizens start at USD 176 to Cochin, USD 232 to Trivandrum, and USD 337 for the Hanimaadhoo–Trivandrum route. All flights are operated using the airline’s modern Airbus A320 aircraft, designed for short-haul international travel with a 152-seat configuration — including 14 Premium Economy and 138 Economy Class seats.
The A320 offers passengers a comfortable cabin, ample legroom, and a smooth flight experience on routes lasting just over an hour. Maldivian says the new fares combine affordability with full-service benefits, such as complimentary meals, beverages, and baggage allowances of 20kg for Economy and 30kg for Premium Economy passengers.
Premium Economy passengers will also enjoy priority check-in, free date changes, and lounge access in both Malé and India.
The airline said the initiative reflects its ongoing efforts to make regional air travel more accessible and comfortable, while maintaining strong links between the Maldives and key Indian cities.
Maldivian currently operates the largest domestic network in the country and serves international destinations across India, China, and beyond.
