A deadly accident near Hulhumale' Central Park early Friday morning claimed the life of 23-year-old Hassan Samah. The tragedy occurred when a speeding sports car collided with Samah’s motorbike. He was immediately taken to Hulhumale' Hospital but succumbed to his injuries while being treated.

Samah had worked as an Emergency Support Officer with the Maldives Correctional Service for the last three years.

Police have arrested the 26-year-old driver of the car involved in the crash. Authorities confirmed that an investigation is ongoing.

This accident, the second of its kind in Hulhumale', has heightened concerns about reckless driving in the area.
