Colombo, Sri Lanka — Parliament Speaker Hon. Mohamed Aslam calls on Sri Lanka's Prime Minister His Excellency Mr. Dinesh Gunawardena. The discussions, at the Office of the Prime Minister marked the pinnacle of Speaker Aslam's engagement during his visit, affirming a commitment to fortify bilateral relations between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.

The meeting, initiated in response to an invitation from the Speaker of the Sri Lanka Parliament, unfolded a spectrum of discussions covering trade, cultural ties, and regional cooperation. This encounter with Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena adds a significant dimension to the diplomatic dialogues, setting the tone for future collaborations between the two nations.
